A²ILab is the Applied Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Our strategic aim is to build Nordic bridges to be globally relevant and to create smart, digital solutions for a dynamic working life. Nordic cooperation for global relevance and smart digital solutions are Arcada’s vehicles to stay relevant in a changing world.

The Behavioral Consumer Insights or BCI lab is a modern co-working space where we can work efficiently in smaller groups. Here, we employ a hands-on approach whether we are developing business ideas together with students, or reviewing research data together with our colleagues.

The RoboLab is where we run workshops and trials of implementations on our humanoid robots, whether we are simulating a dentist waiting room for a robot that provides instructions on how to floss or setting up a restaurant/cafe for the robot waiter Alex to serve us food and drinks.

DevLab is where we familiarize ourselves with new technology and implement our physical or virtual demonstrations. The lab has equipment suitable for rapid development and the couch group is a good place to meet up for weekly check-ins. The room is VR-ready.
